The electrobolt is a great supporting weapon for any ship as it shreds shields and can renders most components unusable. However, it has extremely low damage against non shields and a short range of only 125.
This weapon is a rather unique weapon as it does little direct damage. However, when it hits a component it will drain its battery by 900. This can disable shields in 7 shots, and lock down enemy energy weapons. It deals 100 damage to hull, 75 damage to structure, and effectively deals 1800 damage to shields. It fires 2 shots per second.
Electrobolts are capable of penetrating through shields, damaging whatever part is behind them. Every shield they go through reduces their damage to a third.

The electrobolt is a durable weapon. It is more HP then a small laser and no specific vulnerabilities.
The electrobolt can fire in an arc 100 degrees in each direction, for a total of 200 degrees. This allows it to fire fully sideways and partially backwards. The example battery provides the maximum amount of coverage possible without reducing the firing arc.
