FTL fuel

Overview

FTL Fuel is only used to jump to other sectors. Initial storage of 100. Additional storage of 100 per FTL drive built on your ship. Gained by destroying enemy ships for amounts determined by ship mass or from purchasing for ₡500 each, but you can go into the negative if need be. (Note: FTL drive is required to jump to other sectors)

FTL Fuel

The amount required for a jump is determined by the FTL efficiency value. This value is determined by the coverage of the field of influence of the FTL drive. Efficiency is calculated based on mass and distance:

where :$d$ is the distance, :$D$ the base distance, :$a$ the space coefficient, :$B$ the base cost.
